7/30/2023 0 Comments Cobalt step drill bits for metalThese drill bits eliminate the drill bit from grabbing the sheet metal as the drill begins to penetrate though the metal. I like the flats machined into shank of the drills that keep the bit from twisting in the drill chuck that you thought was tight. The Cobalt Step Drills are recommended for up to 14-gauge material. These bits are perfect for drilling up to 1 1/8” holes in instrument or control panels. The Milwaukee 3-Piece Cobalt Step Drill Bit Set is all you need to drill 1/8“ through 1 1/8“ diameter holes in stainless steel or mild steel sheet metal. More steps per bit.ĬONS: Shanks aren’t flatted all the way up. SUMMARY: A great set of step bits for mild and stainless sheet metal work. I think the cobalt worked much better than my Milwaukee HSS step bits. I drilled a couple of holes in thick-wall tubing with no issues at all. OPERATION: Except for being a pain to chuck in the drill due to the round part of the shaft the bits work well. This means you can’t just drop the bit in the drill and tighten the chuck. I spun a couple of bits out of the chuck before I noticed the rounded part. O The 3-flat shank is not cut all the way to the base of the drill bit body. 3-flat secure-grip shanks reduce bit slippage in the chuck.O Time will tell if the markings get covered or worn off. 2 steps with laser engraving for clear stop on size identification.O Not sure what that means since all my drills have high and low speed ranges. O That seems to be the general consensus on drilling in general. Use on low-speed in Stainless Steel and high speed for mild steel. They are also different that my regular twist drill point. The tips look about half the size of my Milwaukee HSS step drill bits. O It appears this is Milwaukee Tools name for the profile of their tip. Rapid Strike tip allows for 2X faster starts in stainless. The smaller step sizes take less meter per step, reducing the power needed and give more hole sized available per bit. O These bits have about twice the steps of my Milwaukee HSS step bits. Smaller steps for smoothest drilling experience. These bits seem to make a cleaner, cooler cut. O Drilling through thick-wall tubing I found the heat buildup was minimal. Elongated dual-flute design also offers users the best heat management. In stainless they also drill through 14 gauge with no problem. O In mild steel I was able to drill through thick-wall square tubing with no problem. I expect they will last me for years with my limited workload. Engineered to deliver up to 15X the life in stainless compared to current solutions and up to 1000 holes in mild steel. The chance to evaluate the 48-89-9291 bit set was too good to pass up.įIT AND FINISH: These bits have the same quality as my other Milwaukee cobalt bits and are on par to much better than my non-cobalt step bits.įEATURES: From the Home Depot page, with my comments as appropriate. But drilling larger holes in stainless is a problem because my cobalt bits only go to 1/2” diameter. You can be confident that you get great results with the money you pay for.SUMMARY: A VERY NICE STEP BIT SET FOR WORKING MILD AND STAINLESS STEEL.īACKGROUND: I have several Milwaukee step bits, and a set of Milwaukee cobalt drill bits for stainless steel work. It can do what conventional drill bits cannot. If you are set to do some metalworking projects, it would do you well to have a number of these bits at your disposal. Considering that these bits can create holes in varying sizes, they are a more practical choice of tool to have in your workshop. You can even do this all day long and you won’t notice a change in its sharpness and precision. Moreover, it can drill into hardened steel without a problem. They are best used at relatively low speed with lubricants. This means they are more durable and last longer than other types. Cobalt drill bits have higher heat resistance and Rockwell hardness. Tungsten, molybdenum, and chromium have their strengths but not equal to cobalt. This M35 cobalt step drill bit, for example, is classified better than drill bits that are made with other combinations. If that already changes your mind about your drill bit preferences, you should also know more about the compounds and treatment process these tools undergo. Unlike conventional drill bits that create holes in a single size from the periphery all the way through the material, a step drill bit can make larger holes without the risk of damaging the surface. The conical shape is for drilling small then gradually larger holes. Step drills are typically used to puncture holes on thinner materials like sheet metal. But if you have not, you are in for an eye-opening surprise. If you have had the experience of drilling using cobalt drill bit, you would know what we are talking about. Product Description M35 COBALT PRO HEAT TREATED STEP DRILL BITĭrilling through all types of materials will never be the same with an M35 Cobalt Pro heat-treated step drill bit. 7/30/2023 0 Comments J cole deja vu album coverThe slow, fragmented keyboard effects and strings intertwine to a crescendo as the lyrics intensify at the same time– like a kaleidoscope, “Intro” is the perfect opener. The dreamy instrumentals to “Intro” hint at the introspectiveness of the album right off the bat. I went through my list over and over again over many weeks and ultimately I decided I couldn’t cut down this list any further. Look, I know I’m listing 7 out of the 13 tracks on this album, but a good beat is a good beat. Cole has made leaps and bounds to release this profound and easily enjoyable album. It’s incredible to see that in just one year, J. This track is equal parts apologetic and self-assured, making for a delight to listen to. Cole’s vocals for attention, this track hints at the kind of sophisticated production (and love for brass instruments) he is capable of putting out in the future. “Forbidden Fruit” is so simple yet memorable.įrom its opening riff, the acrobatic brass in this beat is hard to forget. Then in the main part, the beat is playful yet emotionally distant, a nonchalant acceptance of the consequences of sin. The opening is minimalistic, yet infinitely mysterious and intriguing. One of my absolute favorite beats of all time. “Power Trip” builds a thick atmosphere through its instrumentals, conveying at once how a youthful life conceals within it vulnerability. *Note: video of all samples from 2014 Forest Hills Drive at the bottom of this post. Watch out for my upcoming essay explaining why. Cole’s best album– even better than 2014 Forest Hills Drive. Note that he produced many of the tracks himself he is very talented.īefore I jump in, let me say this: 4 Your Eyez Only is a masterpiece and J. I’ve selected the best beats and their producers from three of his full-length projects: Born Sinner, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, and 4 Your Eyez Only. I am not covering Cole World: The Sideline Story because I do not know it well. But his narratives can’t be complete without these beats that make his words linger in your head for days afterward. Cole is often described as the most relatable and heart-wrenching rapper in the game today for his excellent lyrical storytelling. If you were sleeping peacefully at 3 am, you can always go back and re-watch the stream via Apple’s website and the official Apple YouTube channel. Apple’s keynote is already over, it took place this morning, June 7 at 3 am AEST. WWDC itself runs from June 6 through June 10 (June 7 through June 11 in Australia) and it’s all virtual. It’s also a place where Apple gives us all a glimpse at what’s coming from the software side of things. It’s basically a place for Apple to smother developers in all of the new features they can expect to build upon. This covers iOS (iPhone), macOS (MacBooks), watchOS (the Apple Watch range) and iPadOS (all of its iPads). WWDC is what it says on the tin: a conference for Apple developers. With all of the announcements covering the home page of Gizmodo Australia, we thought we should wrap everything up in a neat little package. We got an absolute slew of new features during the WWDC presentation (which went for just shy of two hours). Apple’s 2022 World Wide Developer Conference, better known as WWDC, was held in the wee hours of Tuesday morning. 7/30/2023 0 Comments Cod zombies chronicles ps4This means you see multiple versions of the same scene occur side-by-side, with different protagonists in each. Further reflecting the game’s poor optimization, in-engine cutscenes take place in splitscreen, with the customizable player character being portrayed in each separate window. Worse than the setting is the byzantine plot, ponderously revealed through laborious and confusing cutscenes, which make it hard to feel the slightest investment in the game’s events or the fate of its unappealing and forgettable characters. Overall, the setting is quite poorly realized, the scenario lacking a distinctive or unified thematic style and the futuristic weapons and armour greyly generic. Into its dystopian mix the writing team throw a generous helping of anxiety about Artificial Intelligence and suspicion about Western militarism. The campaign is set in the year 2065, a postapocalyptic future blighted by numerous disasters and geopolitical conflict. This comprises about a dozen missions, most lasting half an hour or so, the entirety of which can be played in splitscreen. In combination, all these flaws mean that Zombies Chronicles feels like less than the sum of its promising parts, and it’s likely to disappoint anyone expecting a co-op experience remotely approaching something like Left 4 Dead.įortunately, a measure of redemption arrives in the form of Black Ops 3’s campaign. Worst of all, text that would be readable at full size can become unreadable when scaled-down for splitscreen. Detail and framerate understandably suffer when playing in splitscreen, but poor lighting and contrast means it can be surprisingly hard to see what is going on, even on a 60″ display. From a technical perspective, it’s easiest to appreciate in single-player, where the impressive graphics are displayed to good effect. Zombies mode also suffers from a surprising lack of optimization. Zombies kill you after just a couple of hits, meaning death can come swiftly, and after the first couple of waves zombies increase exponentially in number and aggression. This is especially pronounced when you are first learning the maps and unlikely to survive beyond the early rounds. Of course, simply trying to survive longer than you did last time should be an enticement to continue playing but long loading times before and after each match disincentivise prolonged play. Offline play also doesn’t award experience points, meaning couch co-op gamers are liable to lack much sense of persistent achievement or progress. Furthermore, while Zombies has accrued a substantial amount of arcane lore to support its overarching storyline, this isn’t really communicated very clearly through in-game cinematics or gameplay, and this oversight drains the experience of what might otherwise be beneficial context. It’s unfortunate that the mode doesn’t actually let you select who you play as, instead randomly spawning you as one of the map’s four players. Each map has a distinctive theme, the ‘Shadows of Evil’ map for example sporting a Lovecraftian/film noir aesthetic, and featuring unique mechanics encouraging you to manipulate the environment to try and hold back the undead.Įach map features distinctive playable characters: for example, Shadows of Evil introduces avatars based on recognisable Hollywood actors like Heather Graham and Ron Pearlman. Killing zombies awards points, which can be spent on new guns, helpful items, or unlocking new areas of the map. It comprises a number of themed maps in which up to four players co-operate to fight off waves of zombies, with the waves gradually increasing in difficulty. Black Ops 3 vanilla multiplayer is now moribund, and most people purchasing Zombies Chronicles will launch straight into the Zombies mode. Ever since, Activision have been pushing the Black Ops 3 ‘Zombies Chronicles’ edition on digital storefronts, injecting new life into Black Ops 3‘s otherwise desiccated remains and hoping to entice co-op gamers tired of waiting for a new Left 4 Dead.īlack Ops 3 originally shipped with three modes (Zombies, multiplayer, and campaign), of which the core competitive multiplayer was the central attraction. In 2017, Activision released the Zombie Chronicles DLC, which significantly expanded the game by releasing newly remastered maps for ‘Zombies’, one of its three core modes. But Black Ops 3 is in a slightly different position. A new Call of Duty game is released each year, meaning each one tends to become redundant once the latest version is released and the player base moves on (as with annual sports games). The best-selling video game of 2015, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 owed most of its popularity to its online multiplayer. 7/30/2023 0 Comments Roger rabbit costume makeupIt brought a renewed interest in the golden age of American animation, spearheading modern American animation and the Disney Renaissance. It grossed over $351 million worldwide, becoming the second-highest-grossing film of 1988. The film received acclaim from critics, who praised its visuals, humor, writing, and performances, with critics and audiences considering it to be "groundbreaking". Who Framed Roger Rabbit was released through Disney's Touchstone Pictures banner in the United States on June 22, 1988. While filming, the production budget began to rapidly expand, and the shooting schedule ran longer than expected. Production was moved from Los Angeles to Elstree Studios in England to accommodate Williams and his group of animators. Zemeckis was brought on to direct, and Canadian animator Richard Williams was hired to supervise the animation sequences. Price and Seaman wrote two drafts of the script before Disney brought in executive producer Steven Spielberg and his production company, Amblin Entertainment. Walt Disney Pictures purchased the film rights for the story in 1981. Its plot follows Eddie Valiant, a private investigator with a prejudice against toons, who must help exonerate Roger Rabbit, a toon framed for murder. Combining live-action and animation, the film is set in an alternate history Hollywood in 1947, where humans and cartoon characters (referred to as "toons") co-exist. The film stars Bob Hoskins, Christopher Lloyd, Stubby Kaye, and Joanna Cassidy, with the voices of Charles Fleischer and Kathleen Turner. It is loosely based on the 1981 novel Who Censored Roger Rabbit? by Gary K. She looks at the downstream effects of the research, especially social harms, and develops strategies to prevent those harms. Martschenko’s work focuses on how genomics research can be conducted in a way that is social and ethical, can include community engagement and can be clearly communicated. A white gunman who killed 10 Black people in a Buffalo supermarket in 2022 cited a genetic study to support his heinous act. Today’s science tells us that race has no basis in genetics, but genetics has been invoked throughout history to justify slavery, racial discrimination, forced sterilization, xenophobic immigration policies and more. But such studies can be prone to bias and can be misinterpreted or co-opted to promote unscientific and even harmful ideas. With abundant access to genetic information, researchers can now ask new questions about what influences human behavior. Now a bioethicist at Stanford University, Martschenko is interested in how findings from social and behavioral genomics - the study of how genetic differences among individuals influence complex behaviors and social outcomes - affect society at large, including inequity and injustice and how we respond to them. in education, but today her work goes beyond that field. I then filled in all the other colors with Wilton star tips. Next I frosted it with white frosting to lock in all the crumbs and then I used a toothpick to scratch the inner wing design before I used two tubes of black Wilton frosting. I then used confectioner’s sugar to outline the wings before I cut them out. I decided to use my Wilton 12″x18″ sheet pan for each side of this cake (two boxes of yellow mix and two boxes of chocolate mix). My daughter wanted a butterfly cake for her sixth birthday so I turned to the coolest birthday cakes website for inspiration from all the wonderful submissions. The butterfly cake was a hit! I can’t wait to do her next one! Thank you for this website, it’s a true inspiration! I loved getting the rich bright color results. I was so excited to find icing color tint by Wilton. I used four 9″ rounds, one each for the top part of the wings and then I had to engineer the bottom halves of the wings from the other two rounds. The cake was strawberry because I wanted it to be pink inside with purple icing. The theme for my daughter’s first birthday was butterflies and this was perfect! I was totally inspired by your wonderful website! As you can tell by my color choices and design I was specifically going for a replica of another one of the submissions for a butterfly cake on this page. I used some colored sugar for the cheeks and to go around the outside of the wings. I used different sized glasses to cut out the circular sections for the body and then cut out the head. I covered the cake with sugar paste and made the inserts out of sugar paste. I then drew a butterfly and cut around it. I used two rectangular cakes and joined them together. I made this butterfly cake for a friend’s little girl. |
